Virtual Medicine and Pharmaceuticals is a Healthcare Informatics startup specializing in telehealth and ePharm. Our responsibilities were to lead all development efforts as well as creating the development strategy, process, and pricing models. We managed a small budget and two outsourced development teams in setting up the IT stack for hosting, the UX, and content management services for a hospital-to-patient telehealth service in Washington DC. We installed and managed a Broadvision application server on IIS using SQL Server and installed and hosted BV on a Sun Solaris Ultra5. Installed Solaris 8 and Oracle. Installed the Broadvision App server, web applications, and content management system. Converted designs to BV JSP templates. Created custom personalized medical work flow applications in JSP for the Healthcare service.

Web-Enabled Marketing Campaign Automation (WEMCA) project. The project entailed migrating 8 existing and 4 new web sites for drug brands from existing as static HTML managed by outside firms to being dynamic, JSP-based, database-driven sites and managed internally. Used Broadvision's Java Application Server 6.5 and Portal 6.0. Integrating the new web platform with BMS's ePiphany install for online and off-line marketing campaign management. The project involved system integration, new development, UI redesign, and the reverse engineering of several applications and processes. Reverse engineering of ASP and Coldfusion sites. Registration, content management, personalization, searching, and more were added on this project.

Solution and Software Architecture
Contracted to design the technical solution and implementation methodology for the personalized medical portal federating 2000 hospital sites (intake and billing) and providing home pages for 80,000 doctors and clinics. Provide access for payors to collect billing and patient info. The implementation team would have to be trained on the SDLC methodology used for defining, designing, developing and deploying the new Healthsouth.com healthcare portal.


eKidssocialNetworking


Animation World Magazine review of eKids.com

Challenges:
Contracted to design the Broadvision web application architecture and resource requirements for a new virtual private network for children done in Flash. To put the project back on track and to put out design and functionality “fires”.

Solutions:
We conducted a 2-day requirements and gap analysis meeting to outline the goals and issues for the initial release.  Developed 3-phase project plan for the initial rollout and the additional features that couldn’t be finished by June 22nd. Scoped out the requirement for the new features.  Specified web and Broadvision best practices that will help with the performance and functional goals of the project.


Ernst&Young


Contracted to manager a new E&Y internal Customer Relationship Management product for the professional services division. E&Y engagement teams use the web site worldwide to manage consulting teams and clients.


VideoGamesandWebSites

Phillipsburg Alliance Missionary Church : Design and development of two church Web sites. Managing three resources (a Project manager, a developer, a designer, and a sales person) on the project. Custom code and designs are developed on a LAMP stack using PHP, Flash, Flash Video, and a Content Management System. (currently under development)

www.AndThenCameLove.com : Designed, programmed, and hosted. This is a movie trailer site for a feature film (2007) starring Vanessa Williams. The site has the trailer, a synopsis, cast bios, downloads, and the filmmakers bios.
Emergency Management Information System (NJIT): Leading a team of software engineers on the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for creating an operational EMIS service over the last two years. The systems captures and tracks events and facilitates decisions during a natural disaster or other local emergency. The system was originally being developed on ASP using Access but is being converted to a LAMP stack. (currently under development)
The Universe : Developed all game logic and interactive programming. Dual platform game release on PCs and Macs. Travel through the universe from the very smallest object to the very largest. Use a cutting-edge cosmoscope to explore sun-atomic particles. Look What I See : Developed all game logic and interactive programming. Look What I See! A Unique Art Experience for Children 4 to 10 This CD-ROM features a wide range of fun-filled activities that lead children to discoveries about art.
